I sell two variants of oil drain plugs. One for older ducatis and the newer one that began use in 2003. The old version (Type A) had a 10mm allen-head that tended to strip. Beginning in 2003, Ducati began using a new oil drain plug on select models. The new version of the drain plug(Type B) was huge step backward. With only 5mm of bite, it is an easy affair to strip the socket head on the bolt. If this happens, you need to slot the head with a dremel tool and use an impact driver to pound off the stripped drain plug. Fortunately, the aftermarket has come to the rescue. Both billet variants here have magnets to trap debris, and include large hex-headed ends, ensuring trouble-free installation and removal.
